Shed Some Light on Prostate Cancer

‘Shed Some Light on Prostate Cancer’ is a national roadshow series launched by Ipsen and the Irish Men’s Sheds Association (IMSA) to raise awareness and stimulate conversation around prostate cancer.
This campaign was based on research conducted by IMSA among its member network, showing that although 71% of surveyed men worry about the prevalence of prostate cancer in Ireland, almost a third find it difficult to discuss personal health concerns with friends and family.

The goal of this campaign, led by IMSA member volunteers, is to facilitate a national conversation around prostate cancer, particularly its symptoms, diagnosis, and management. Importantly, it also aims to create a forum where men can find support, open up about their health issues, and share their stories and experiences, helping them to realise that they are not alone on their cancer journey.
